Relic Roster is built for collections that grow. The preferences you set today — storage locations, tags, and account details — become the organizational framework your entire collection is built on.
A well-organized collection is faster to search, easier to report on, and more useful when you need to document items for insurance, authentication, or resale.
Account settings are found in your profile menu. Review these before adding more items to your collection.
Your display name appears on your public collection page. Use your collector name or handle if you prefer it over your legal name.
Ensure your email is current. This is the recovery address for your account and where account notices are sent.
If you set a simple password during signup, now is a good time to strengthen it.
Storage locations let you record where each item physically lives — binders, boxes, display cases, safes, or any other storage you use. Assigning a location to each item makes it easy to filter and locate items without searching through your entire collection.
Collector Tip
Create storage locations before you start adding items in bulk. Having a location assigned to every item from the start makes insurance documentation and collection audits significantly faster.
Create location names that match how your collection is physically organized. Examples: 'Binder 1 — Basketball', 'Safe — Graded Cards', 'Display Case — Signed Items'.
The Storage Location field is available on every item entry form. Fill it in as you add items rather than updating them retroactively.
Once locations are assigned, you can filter your collection view by location — useful for auditing, insurance exports, or finding a specific item quickly.
Tags are free-form labels you assign to items to create groupings that go beyond the standard category and sport fields. Use them to mark items by collection theme, era, set, or any other attribute that matters to how you think about your collection.
Collector Tip
Keep tags consistent. Decide early whether to use "PC" or "Personal Collection", "For Sale" or "Available", and stick to your convention. Inconsistent tags create clutter in filters.
The tag field is available on every item form. Add relevant tags at entry to avoid a retroactive tagging effort later.
Examples: 'PC' for your personal collection pieces, 'Rookie Cards', '1990s', 'Set Complete', 'For Sale'. Tags let you filter for exactly what you want.
Use the tag filter in your collection view to instantly narrow your list to items with a specific tag.
Relic Roster supports CSV import and export. If you're migrating from a spreadsheet, use the import tool to bring your existing data in. Export at any time to keep a local backup or prepare documentation for an insurer.
Navigate to the Import section in your account. Download the CSV template, map your existing columns to the Relic Roster format, and upload the file.
Use the Export option to download your full collection as a CSV. This is your portable backup and the basis for insurance reports.
Keep a current export on hand. An up-to-date CSV is the fastest starting point for any insurance, resale, or audit process.
