Understanding Your Dashboard
This guide covers what each section of your Relic Roster dashboard shows and how to use it effectively.
Your collection at a glance
The dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in: total value, category breakdown, and recent activity, without needing to browse individual items.
Key dashboard metrics
The metrics section gives you the headline numbers for your collection. These update automatically as you add and edit items.
Collector Tip
Estimated collection value is only as accurate as the values you enter per item. Update individual item values periodically, especially after major market moves or when graded items are submitted, to keep your total meaningful.

Total items
The total count of items in your collection. This updates immediately whenever an item is added, edited, or removed.

Estimated collection value
The sum of the estimated value fields across all items in your collection. This reflects what you've entered. It is not a live market feed. Update item values periodically to keep this figure accurate.

Category breakdown
A summary of how your collection is distributed across item categories: cards, jerseys, autographs, memorabilia, and others. Useful for understanding the composition of your collection at a glance.
Recent activity
The recent activity section shows the items most recently added or updated in your collection. It gives you a quick reference for what you've been working on without needing to search.

Recently added items
The latest items you've added appear here in chronological order. Selecting an item takes you directly to its detail view.

Quick access to recent edits
If you updated an item's value, condition, or details recently, it will surface in this section for easy follow-up.
Quick actions
The dashboard provides quick access to the actions you use most often, so you don't have to navigate through menus to start common tasks.
Collector Tip
Use the Add Item shortcut as the default starting point whenever you acquire something new. Logging items while the details are still fresh keeps your records accurate.

Add Item
Opens the item entry form directly. Use this whenever you have a new acquisition to record.

Scan Item
Opens the AI scanner to identify a card or memorabilia piece from a photo and auto-fill the entry form.

View Collection
Opens your full collection list with search, filter, and sort options.
Using the dashboard to manage your collection over time
The dashboard is most useful when your collection data is current. A few habits will keep it accurate and meaningful as your collection grows.

Log new acquisitions promptly
Add items as you acquire them rather than batching entries. Details like purchase price, condition, and provenance are easier to record accurately when the item is in front of you.

Update estimated values periodically
Market values shift. Review and update item values after major sales events, grading returns, or whenever you check comparable sales.

Use the collection view for deeper management
The dashboard gives you the overview. For filtering by tag, location, sport, or category, switch to the full collection view.

Export regularly
A periodic CSV export is your offline backup and the fastest starting point for any insurance or documentation request.
