Improving Scan Accuracy

Use a clear photo

Make sure the item is fully visible and in focus. Avoid blurry images, heavy shadows, glare, or reflections.

For best results:

• –Place the item on a clean, flat surface.
• –Use good lighting.
• –Avoid harsh overhead glare.
• –Keep the entire item in the frame.
• –Make sure text, logos, signatures, and labels are readable.

Scan one item at a time

The AI Scanner works best when the image contains one primary item. Avoid uploading photos with multiple cards, multiple autographs, or several pieces of memorabilia in the same image.

If you have multiple items to add, scan each one separately.

Include important details

For cards, include the full front of the card. If the back contains important information such as card number, set name, year, or manufacturer, you may want to reference that when reviewing the results.

For memorabilia, try to capture:

• –The full item
• –Any visible autograph
• –Authentication sticker
• –Certificate of authenticity
• –Jersey tags or labels
• –Team logos
• –Player name or number
• –Event or date markings

Avoid difficult image conditions

Scan accuracy may be lower when the image includes:

• –Glare from plastic cases or card slabs
• –Reflections from glass frames
• –Dark or uneven lighting
• –Cropped text
• –Low-resolution photos
• –Multiple items in one image
• –Obstructed signatures
• –Angled or distorted photos
