Purchase Price & Estimated Value

Track What You Paid and What It's Worth to You

Record the purchase price for every item and maintain the estimated value you choose to track for it, right alongside photos, authentication, and provenance.

Features

Your Collection's Financial Picture

Purchase Price on Every Item

Record what you paid, including shipping or buyer's premiums, so you always have a real cost basis for every piece in your collection.

An Estimated Value You Control

Set the estimated value you want to maintain for an item, based on your own research, a recent appraisal, or whatever number you consider fair. Relic Roster stores it; you decide what it is.

Portfolio Dashboard

A clear, visual overview of your collection's total recorded value, broken down by sport, category, and individual items.

Update Whenever You Choose

Revisit an item's estimated value any time, whether that's after a sale you noticed, a new appraisal, or a grading result. Nothing changes without you.

Purchase and Value in One Record

Purchase price and estimated value live on the same item record as your photos, authentication details, and provenance, not in a separate spreadsheet.

Collection Breakdown

See how your collection's recorded value is distributed across sports and categories, and which items make up the largest share.

How It Works

How Value Tracking Works

01

Add Items to Your Collection

Every item gets its own purchase price and estimated value field the moment you add it.

02

Record What You Paid and What You Think It's Worth

Enter the purchase price, then set the estimated value you want to track, based on your own research or an appraisal.

03

Update Your Portfolio

The portfolio dashboard totals your collection's recorded value and updates the moment you change an item.

FAQ

Common Questions

No. Relic Roster doesn't generate or determine values for you. It gives every item a Purchase Price field and an Estimated Value field so you can record what you paid and maintain a value you're comfortable with, based on your own research, an appraisal, or comparable sales you've looked up yourself.

Purchase Price is what you actually paid for an item. Estimated Value is a separate figure you maintain yourself, reflecting what you currently believe the item is worth. Keeping them apart means your acquisition history and your current sense of value never get confused with each other.

Whenever you have a reason to: after checking recent comparable sales yourself, following a professional appraisal, after a grading result, or just periodically to keep your records current. Estimated value only changes when you change it. It isn't a live feed.

Purchase price and estimated value fields, along with the portfolio dashboard, are available on every plan, including Free.
